Only once training has been completed learners are required to complete 20 hours of work placement and additional practical observations.
The combined skill sets provide the skills and knowledge required for those responsible for traffic control and traffic management implementation on a site and road workers under their direction, as described in the Austroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management on Temporary Traffic Management Category 2 environments on Urban Streets and Low Volume Rural Roads.

Leaners may be eligible for CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) funding to support training of eligible workers in the construction industry. CITB funding is only available for South Australian resident learners and is provided upon provision of a valid CITB identification number upon booking
